After working 45 years in the newspaper industry, with the last 31 years at the Seattle Times Company, I retired on December 18, 1998. Our retirement to Sayula, Jalisco in January 1999 culminated years of planning and a return home to Jalisco for my wife, after living in the U.S. approximately 25 years.
